THE BEACH LIFE
It's Been Waaaaaay Too Long......
When I was first diagnosed I figured I would take some pills and life would go on like always. I WAS SO WRONG. I've been in an active flair since May. The only time I felt a little better was in August when I decided I wasn't sick anymore and stopped taking all my medication. I felt great for about two weeks and then the walls came crashing down and I almost ended up in the hospital. My rheumatologist just isn't working for me and I need to switch to a new office. As much as I admire her GO GO GO spirit, I'm too tired to go. Instead of trying to jam more pills down my throat in hopes of fixing me, I wish she would just prescribe what I need to try to maintain some sense of normalcy in my life. For anyone who doesn't know what Lupus is, all you need to know is that it royally sucks and if someone you know has it, learn about it because it rough on both you body and soul.
And now on to Big Boy. Well, he turned six back in October. Can you believe it? He has become completely obsessed with bowling and when he goes Sundays he walk around like the mayor. All the old people know him and talk to him. Being the attention whore that he is...he loves it! Santa brought him a new bowling ball and bag for Christmas which just adds to his awesomeness! He is doing great in school and has even been mainstreamed into a regular kindy class. As hokey as it sounds...he may have Autism but Autism doesn't have him.
The husband is doing well. Blood pressure is a bit on the high side but what else is new? We are the average American family. Battling to keep our heads above water and provide a good life for our kid.
So I'm really going to try to make it a point to get back to blogging. Thanks to everyone who is still reading and I promise to try to get back on ball.
